Public invited to ‘Experience Queen’s’ in Derry

Staff and students from Queen’s University Belfast as well as local business leaders will be at the City Hotel in Derry on the evening of Wednesday 23rd October for an ‘Experience Queen’s’ event.

The public are encouraged to attend the event to discover more about undergraduate study at the University.

The interactive event gives an interesting insight into the opportunities and undergraduate courses available at Queen’s, which is a member of the prestigious Russell Group.

As well as gaining valuable information about application processes and various student services, those attending will have the opportunity to explore course options by speaking with academic staff and participating in interactive demonstrations.

Una Reid, Head of Domestic Recruitment at Queen’s University said: “We are very much looking forward to meeting people from the Derry area and conveying all that we at Queen’s have to offer local young people. The event will be fun, informative and motivating.”

Ms Reid added: “Those attending can hear from current students, alumni, local employers and staff about where a degree from Queen’s can take you, not just in terms of career but in having a global education at home. The event is ideal for young people in Year 12 and Year 13 as well as their parents and guardians.”

Queen’s University Belfast is in the top 173 universities in the world, according QS World University Rankings 2020, and is in the top 140 in the world for graduate prospects, according to QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2020.
