Student Reps

MHLS Faculty, School and Course Reps please log in here

Student Representatives (or 'Reps') have an important part to play within our University. As dedicated student volunteers at course, School and Faculty Level, they serve as the voice of the student body within their respective Schools, collaborating closely with University departments to positively influence the quality of your educational journey.

At Faculty level, there are normally three Student Representatives – one each to cover Undergraduate, Postgraduate Taught, and Postgraduate Research programmes. The role of the MHLS Faculty Representative is outlined here.

Within each School, there are normally multiple Course Reps, as well as an Undergraduate School Rep and a Postgraduate School Rep. Undergraduate Faculty and School Reps are recruited for the following year towards the end of the previous academic year, while Postgraduate School Reps are normally recruited in semester one of each new academic year.

Student Reps play integral roles within the Queen’s community, as they are active participants in the School's Education Committee, the Students' Union Council, and the University's Academic Board. Additionally, they assume the crucial responsibility of chairing Student Voice Committees, fostering constructive dialogue between Student Representatives and the Schools, Faculty and staff.

More information on your Student Officers, Student Council, Course Reps and School Reps is available here.
