Slowing Down Traffic in Edinburgh and Belfast

The 20 mph project, funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) and the Wellcome Trust, is part of the largest and most comprehensive study to date into the effects of 20mph speed limits and speed zones to be undertaken in the UK. The research was led by the University of Edinburgh and conducted in collaboration with researchers from Queen’s University Belfast, University of Cambridge, University of Exeter, University of Bristol, University of East Anglia, Sustrans and NHS Health Scotland.
