Queen's University Technicians

Queen's University Technicians
President and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sir Ian Greer

"As a world class international university our vision is to support outstanding students and staff, working in world class facilities, conducting leading-edge education and research, focused on the needs of society.

Our technicians are vital in order for us to achieve that vision. Our technicians have the practical skills and expertise to turn research into reality and to put theory into practice for our students through classes and workshops, helping them develop the technical skills they will need for future employment. These technical skills allow us to continue to achieve our strategic priorities in education, research and innovation and impact, allowing us to further strengthen and widen our local partnerships and global collaborations and, ultimately, our positive contribution to society. Without our technicians, we simply would not be the world-class university that we pride ourselves on, which is why the Technician Commitment is so important to me as Vice-Chancellor."
